A classic image is a group of people gathered around a fire. All telling ghost stories. This is what the conspiracy theory is. It is fun to entertain. For some it can become an obsession.
In no way should people attempt to attack it. People are free to say and believe what they want. Nothing fuels a conspiracy theory more than a coordinated attempt to dispute it. Even worse. Even the people who initially believe it is not true start to come around.
“Corrections fade quickly,” Berinsky says. “You’ve got to keep whacking the same mole.”
In the movie The Matrix there was a question- why is the world they created so miserable. The answer is that a perfect world was not believable. There is a phenomenon in the world where people do tend to not believe something because it is too perfect. Actual ninja's would not usually wear black. Jet black clothing would actually stand out in the dark of night because there is still the ambient light of stars and the moon. If a ninja wore brown, red, yellow or yellow they would actually more fully be shrouded in shadow. A thoughtful people will always question what happens in their society.

In the face of that anxiety, changing a person’s beliefs is a tall order. “It’s about wanting to give them the motivation to believe the correct thing,” Miller says. “But tackling the motivation side is a heck of a problem.”
I don't want anyone changing my beliefs or telling me what they deem truth. Remember there are motivations to believe a conspiracy but their are motivations to convince people otherwise. \
