Last Man Standing Disaster Part 2

It is looking worse.

No sighting of the Chinese kid yet. They got rid of the larger breasted brunette. Oh and of course:

“It’s going to be one great theme each week seen as through the eyes of a very tolerant integrated family,” Allen says.

This show started out with Tim Allen walking in to his kitchen, throwing a freshly caught fish on the table, and telling his wife to take care of it. He would constantly make jokes about the one black character trying to rob him.

Do not watch this show. It is at best meant to subvert the rightward march of the political spectrum. Rosanne went to far to quickly. An interracial family with a cross-dressing child. For fuck's sake. The Fox edition of Last Man Standing will be more subtle. Remember- these people have been using television to pervert morality and subvert the American society and family for nearly a century.

Do not trust it. Do not watch it.

Read books. Organize friends and family. Get your houses in order. Get involved in local politics.

Rising Tides

I cannot remember when it happened. It wasn't all at once. I remember when I knew things had changed. I went to dinner with my mother. It was a new place near where my parents lived. She wanted to try it out. She said it was Greek food.

The restaurant was tucked in to a small business park that had once been a wedding gown shop. I remember it had been vacant for quite a while. The place clean and well lit. Narrow and not really inviting. We were the only White people in there. Eastern music was playing and the two brown men exchanged remarks in some foreign language while preparing our gyros.

We were the only people who actually sat down to eat. Other would come in, pick up an order and leave. All brown. All speaking another language and it certainly wasn't Greek. Neither my mother or I seemed really comfortable. In our way out I saw that next door another store front was being built. A Halal meat shop.

There was exactly one middle easterner in my highschool. He was deaf and mentally handicapped. I recall people still picked on him anyway. On out street there was a family I had never even seen. My parents referred to them as 'the Iranians'. They lived on the nicest house on the street and never came outside. There were a few houses behind them which we all assumed were more of them. Inhabiting a small quasi-compound. They had been there for 30 years or more. They were invisible. Now things had changed.

Three years later I came back to the same business park. I did not want anything to do with the 'Greek' establishment. On the far side a chain pizza shop offered a lunch buffet. There was one manager and one cashier working. Both middle eastern. They have taken over the entire property. As I walked out I decided I could never go back there either. I noticed with concern- the ballet studio nestled in between these arab shops. It had been there longer than I had been alive. I hope these parents are keeping a close eye on their daughters.

Podcasting And Streaming

I have had the idea to create some different forms of content. Streaming on to Youtube and Twitch are possible ways of making money. With Twitch you basically show yourself playing a video game and people watch you. With Youtube you talk or perform either live or in a recording and people watch that. In both ways you make money by generating views and follows.

I have purchased three pieces of equipment and briefly worked with the software developed for all of them. I will be providing a in depth review of each in the coming weeks.

Hardware:

AT2020US+ 129.99
Logitech C922x Pro Stream Webcam 87.98

Software:

OBS Studio (FREE)

Initial feelings.

Windows apparently had an update recently and it made using basically anything besides a pair of speakers a clusterfuck. I have to go through an enormous amount of settings to figure out why nothing is working. And I am not sure that I have had a moment yet to point out just how much I HATE WINDOWS 10.

As it stands if I want to use the headset I need to plug it in. If I want to use the speakers on the desktop I have to unplug the headset. Why the fuck should I have to do that? I cannot just click a button to toggle on or off? Still trying to figure that out.

Using the desktop microphone with the webcam keeps the amount of headgear limited to my glasses- I prefer this for video. I have ordered a boom arm to mount to the desk. Background noise is atrocious. It is too hot not to have an a/c running. Need to examine options.

The webcam seems to be working great with OBS. Background replacement means that no one will see my dog licking herself while I'm playing. Mixed bag- that might be a negative to get people to watch me. Will experiment once I get this working.

Laura Ingraham And Demographics

Laura Ingraham sparked outrage today for saying things that are unarguably true. Demographic changes are turning America in to something that it wasn't before and a lot of people don't like that.

In some parts of the country it does seem like the America that we know and love doesn't exist anymore," Ingraham said. "Massive demographic changes have been foisted upon the American people. And they're changes that none of us ever voted for and most of us don't like.

The US has a rapidly growing Hispanic population. Soon this population will constitute the majority. That means they will decide what civil rights we get to keep. And the answer- isn't many. We should take a hard look at what this group of people think. (Hint - It's not good)

Cato also provides some helpful graphs

:

A few more graphs

Free speech and gun rights are American values. If the people coming in to this country do not hold those values- then then they are simply not compatible with Americans. But they have been given the right to vote- either by birth or through the immigration process. So they now get to tell us how we shall live.

This could be changed. But there is not the political will or unification among people to currently affect this. So what will happen? The view of many is that the US will simply collapse.

The divide is too great. We get to witness the transition from America to Not-America. It will probably be violent at times. And worse- what happens when this country actually becomes Mexico 2.0? Mexico is the most violent country on the planet. Nothing works and violent gangs run amok.

It is time to start thinking about how to survive such a thing. Take a hard look at Argentina and Venezuela. A prepper has a blog that you may find helpful. He lived through Argentina. He has been running ever since.

It seems to me that the most sensible thing to do is to be surrounded by people who are willing to work together and to help you. That is largely going to be your family. Many of us no longer live near our families. That is a problem. You will never be able to trust your neighbor as much as you trust your brother.

We have already come to a point where the police may either not show up you would be better off if they didn't. If the cops don't incompetently murder you- you might lose your job if the criminal isn't white.

Possibly you could focus on securing property at a tourist destination. Those seem to be the nicer and more civilized parts of Central and South America. There may be safety in doing that while the rest of the country fails. But you would need significant amounts of money and the space is limited.

It's time to move. Take a hard look at where your very closest friends and family live. That's where you go. Or at least near by. Find something sustainable. A place where you and your family can seek refuge.  Preferably a patch a ground you can improve. Learn some trades. In all ways be a more self reliant person.

Self Delete

Like many people who have been dissatisfied with the Republican party for decades I found myself walking away and becoming a Libertarian. And as a result- reading Vox Day. He posts today that he is leaving Facebook. He has already been banned from Twitter.

UPDATE: Before anyone starts worrying that I've been banned by Facebook, I deactivated my account myself. I would have deleted it, but the damned DELETE ACCOUNT page would not load no matter which browser I tried. I'll delete it when I get the chance.

Vox is preemptively removing himself from a platform that will eventually purge him. At some point these large social media platforms will purge most dissent and become nothing but as much a Left echo chamber as Gab is a Right echo chamber. It will take longer. Being the innovator- Twitter and Facebook has well known and respected users, celebrities, and politicians. Slowly they will be chased off. They are even attacking Bernie Sanders because he would not denounce ICE. I imagine there will be a breaking point where some new platform is made and people jump to that. Or maybe people will come to their senses and turn the damn thing off.

This is an interesting cycle. The internet was born during my lifetime. It exploded in popularity. It brought people together in ways never before possible. The internet allowed people a platform to say what they believed and find people who thought like they did. Even to find love. And now as it has become a larger, more centralized, and controlled entity- some people are walking away from it. And some people are being actively chased off.

Here's the timeline of the internet as I have experienced it. At first it was an outlet to see bad fake nude pictures of my celebrity crush Jennifer Love Hewitt. It morphed into something letting me see pictures of people I really wasn't friends with anymore. Then it became a platform for actual news and subversive political ideas. Now it is fast becoming a platform of only approved thoughts and opinions and no news at all. Which means it is now largely useless. All in less than 20 years. Sure, you can still sell crap on ebay.

Now the friends we made on the internet or ties we maintained through the internet are largely divided by politics and approved vs non-approved narratives. It's quite a lot to handle. Too much drama. Twenty years ago if a friend moved away...well, that was it. We said goodbye. If we disagree and stop being friends then that was easier too. You never saw them again. Now we get to view shared friends experiences with them. They linger on. Haunting us. Maybe making us wonder why we had ever been friends at all.

There's a noted phenomenon where people can people can really only know or be friends with a certain number of people. Basically the size of a small village. Once you go passed that number you really do not care anymore. I think this might have a geographic proximity as well. That part may be inversely related to the actual number of friends you have- less friends = a larger distance away that they can be with you still caring about them.

Trying to maintain more friends than you humanly can or trying to care about what people will think if you express your opinion. Worrying if your boss will find out and you'll lose a promotion. Or the job entirely. Scared of what a vindictive ex might post about you to poison mutual friendships. One last 'fuck you' to burn all remaining bridges.

It reminds me of The Abyss. It can all add up to you feeling like you are drowning in a room full of air.

Take that weight off. Breathe deep and enjoy what you have.

Zero-K on Steam

There has been a mini renaissance of RTS games on Steam as of late. The first computer game I ever played was a Math Blaster type game. It allowed you to play a game in between solving math problems. At some point in the 90's I discovered Command & Conquer. The classic RTS game. Every gamer has fond memories of it. And there was about a gazillion iterations of the same base building/resource gathering concept.

As much as I loved C&C I was absolutely floored when I discovered Total Annihilation. Chris Taylor somehow broke out of what quickly became the standard model of so many Red Alert/Warcraft clones.

  • Destroyed units stayed on the battlefield. That alone was huge. Games didn't do that at the time.
  • Redundant unit selections amazing. Like massive redundancy. The vast selection of units meant that you could always see something new.
  • This sounds archaic now but there used to be 'unit caps'. The game would stop you from having too many characters. In the game you paid for. TA did away with that too.
  • Taylor also put in a unit creation tool. Users could make and trade units they created. And users created thousands upon thousands of units. There were entire websites where content creators posted units for download. He probably created a generation of coders and game designers.

Sadly Cavdog Games went bust and the larger RTS genre seemed to ignore the innovations the likes of Taylor was making.

These things might not seem like a big deal- but they are. Starcraft still plays up the same tropes from non TA games. I cannot help but think that the reason we have seen so few new RTS games is because these game developers did not try innovating like Taylor did.

TA is woefully dated in terms of it's graphics. But it has now been mostly resurrected as Zero-K on Steam. Check it out.

Another astonishing RTS game I'll have to cover at some point is Homeworld. TA and Homeworld truly made the 90's a special time for RTS games.

What are some of your favorite games? Leave a comment below.

Opinions Not Wanted

Has anyone else noticed that CNN no longer allows comments? CNN tried for a while to allow comments on it's 'Opinion' section. Now it seems that it has stopped all comments. Many news sites now no longer let readers give their own opinion. Go check some of the news sites that do allow comments. This article is a bit dated- a number of the sites mentioned have now also given up and stopped allowing comments.

Fox News and Breitbart are two examples I checked that still allow commentary. The opinions are pretty entertaining. And pretty angry. I actually have a small 'wall of fame' of people responding to horrible comments I used to make on these sites to piss people off. Let's face it- being a troll is fum.

I think this is a pretty telling trend. The news media does not want to know what you think of it. It does want your suggestions. You consume the content or you get out. And that is where the problem lies. If you do not listen to what readers want you lose the audiences interest and it's trust. In the effort to silence argument and ignore disagreement the site drifts further from reality. If you do not know what cognitive dissonance is then you must read Scott Adams. He will help you understand what is happening.

I think this will increase the demand for blogging. Also I think it will only further the 'citizen journalism' trend. You don't have to like Cernovich but you have to admit he spotted a need and capitalized on it.

One thing that has become very clear to me is to find people who are smarter than me and try to understand what they are saying and what they are doing. I recommend everyone do that same.

Attacking The Racists

The media is driving women crazy.

The guy looks Hispanic to me. But the crazy blonde probably 'doesn't see race' - only racists.

A Massachusetts woman has been arrested for allegedly ramming a man's Jeep after becoming enraged by his bumper sticker supporting for President Donald Trump, in an incident that was caught on video.

We no longer live in a society where political discourse can take place. Do not advertise your politics and personal beliefs. By doing do you put yourself in danger. And even better- only associate with those that hold similar views as yourself.

If you do not like living like that- I do not blame you. But I expect you to pledge to never see another movie in a theater again. After all it is the celebrities and media that have driven people to this lunacy.

Last Man Standing

Entertainment Weekly tries to push Fox's new crap.

Tim Allen has probably done more than any currently living actor to promote traditional family values through the two long running shows he has been part of. In both shows he is a strong, masculine father. He leads and protects his family. He also demonstrates a healthy and functional relationship with his on-screen wife in both shows.

His latest show as well as Rosanne being cancelled were a good thing. There is no common ground among the political Left and Right anymore. The Right needs to continue to build it's own platforms and content specifically for it's own audience. That cannot be done on ABC or any other existing channel.

— The Baxter family will be joined by a foreign exchange student from China this season. “So basically we have a different political system who will come in,” says Abbott. “Mike Baxter will try to promote the American way.”

...

Earlier at TCA, Fox Television Group chairman and CEO Gary Newman was asked if Allen’s character was a Trump supporter. “Right now, the producers’ plan is simply not to address whether or not he might be a Trump supporter,” Newman said. “Clearly he’s a character with a conservative viewpoint, one they think of as centrist. That could change during the season.”

Bringing back Last Man Standing is an attempt to pervert a relatively Right wing show. I imagine that not only will there be a Chinese exchange student- one of the daughters will be in a sexual relationship with him. Or her. By the end Fox might even make one of the daughters have an abortion. Do not bother watching. The show is dead.

I do approve of the message being sent that Republicans should not bother watching TV. Paying for cable means you help pay for all the degenerate crap that ends up brainwashing today's youth.

Natomas Oak Park, Sacramento

Natomas Oak Park sits along the American River in Sacramento, California. This is a nice little park to sneak away to. The park is largely hidden from view on Garden Highway and that keeps the foot traffic low.

The park is divided in to two portions. A more ordinary section with a wide open field and covered picnic tables. This could be a nice place to have a picnic or family gathering. Sadly it seems to be taken over by people who are either homeless or up to no good. The same van has been parked in the parking lot with the hood up and someone 'tinkering' under the hood for literally years at this point. I can only assume the car hood in the up position is some sort of signal. Probably drug sales but we can only guess. A sad sign of the times.

The other portion of the park is more interesting. Like the name implies there are a number of large oak trees with a well maintained running path. Come here in the spring to catch the wildflowers in bloom.

There are a number of signs providing a history of the area and the plant life.

Besides picnic tables- there are many clear places to lay down a blanket for a picnic.

Just be aware of the thorny travelers you may pick up. You will spend a lot of time digging these little buggers out.

The running path more or less connects to a paved bike path. This path runs behind the large business park. At a fork you can ride up to Garden Highway or continue down to one of Natomas' many canals. The path links many apartment complexes and neighborhoods together and the path is well traveled. There is a bridge across the canal that leads to a school. All in all this is a nice place to walk around with many places to take photos.

A Guy And His Dog

Should you buy a dog? There are a number of factors.

Pros
A dog can:

  • Protect you (No excuse to not own a gun.)
  • Protect your stuff.
  • Allows you to go bird hunting.
  • Can give an innocent reason for a new mate to come up to your apartment.
  • Can be used as a reason for a day date (go to the river/beach, hike, dog park, walk around town).
  • There are dog centered events where dog owners go (training, certain restaurants/breweries, dog events.)
  • A woman who owns a dog is not spending all weekend sleeping around- she has to go home and look after the animal.
  • Dogs attract the attention of women.
  • Will make you leave your apartment continually.
Cons
A dog may:

  • Get sick/have medical expenses.
  • Can be dangerous to you or others (don't get a pit bull. I know this will piss people off.).
  • Will need to be boarded if you go on a trip.
  • Might eat your stuff/destroy the apartment.
  • Be a responsibility you may not be ready for.
  • Some apartments will not allow you to have a pet. Sometimes there will be weight or breed restrictions as well. There may also be a pet rent that is charged.
  • Walking up and down stairs four or more times every day for your dog gets old.
You  want to rent and you own a dog? Nothing beats being charged $50 extra each month on top of additional deposit because you have a dog and then getting hit with a $500 bill when you move out because they insist on replacing the carpet on top of what they gouged you. Fucking crooks.

Side story: once years ago I was confronted by an irate black woman. She was likely on drugs and this was one of those BLM protest weekends. She was screaming at me because she believed I had not picked up after my dog. Not only was she incorrect- it was clear she just wanted a confrontation. As I tried to walk away she ran up behind me. Merely saying that I would unleash my 100+ lbs. half-pit was enough to send her running away.

That being said. A dog provides a lot of companionship. I recommend a medium sized dog. Let's say 30-40 lbs. That size dog should still have a loud bark to scare off intruders but not be so big that it will scare women you bring over. He should still be big enough to grab a pheasant by the neck and bring it back to you too.

Expect that you will be shelling out $500 or more dollars just to buy him. And he will piss all over everything until you train him. Buy Amazon Basics brand dog poop bags. 900 count for way cheaper than you will find anywhere else. If you feel you need to crate him (which I don't agree with) Amazon has the best deals on cages as well.

The Basement Dwelling Millennial

A common attack I hear baby boomers make against millennials is that they are lazy kids who need to leave their parents basement. A failure to understand and lack of concern of anything that is happening is exactly why younger generations hate boomers so damn much. One wonders who they think will be caring for them in those retirement homes. But why are these kids stuck at home?

Lets start with how screwed over young guys and gals are coming out of college.

I graduated from a four year university in 2012. I took my time going through college. I'll be honest- I never wanted to go. I enjoyed the structure of college and the continual change of going to new classes. But I had no idea what I wanted to do. I didn't really want to do anything.

I think a lot of kids feel like that and they end up going to a college simply because of pressure they get. So four years later these kids end up in massive amounts of debt and in a job they probably didn't want. And if the kid in that situation is lucky he is only in debt. Some of these kids come out diseased or addicted to drugs and alcohol because these kids are encouraged to be as degenerate as possible the whole time they are there.

I skirted at least some of that. I started working manual labor when I was fifteen. So I had no intention of agreeing to spend more money than I had ever possessed on something I didn't like in the first place. So I went to a junior college and then on to a four year school afterward. But a lot of kids don't have that sense.

Even worse- these kids get out of college in $28,000 (average in California) in debt without a job. The median income in California is $51,000 a year. That's not starting salary- that is median. Let's say that our student will be paying $250 a month after his or her first six months out of college or $3,000 per year on his student loan.

For now we won't get in to what a SCAM it is to make someone buy a $30,000 piece of paper so that they can get a job making copies and bringing people coffee in an office. This is a rotten and failing system.

Rent on this coast varies a lot. The fairly large city I live in makes a pretty clear distinction- Over or under $1,000 a month. If you are paying less than $1,000 then you are probably living in an area where the chances of you getting robbed/raped/murdered is highest. You add on basic utilities (food, water, gas, garbage) at around $150 per month and you end up paying around $14,000 per year on stuff you don't own.

How does this graduate's costs break down? $51,000 - ~30% in taxes = $51,000-$15,300 = $35,700.

$35,700 - ($14,000 rent & utilities + $3,000 student loan)  = $18,700

Do you want internet access? You might need it for your job.

Do you own a mobile phone? You pretty much need one these days it seems. I cannot log on to my work computer without a mobile phone for security.

How about a car payment? You need to get to your job.

$60 Basic internet or $720/year

Average monthly car payment = $479/ per month or $5,748/year

Mobile phone ~ $71*12 = $852/ year

Car Insurance ~$80 *12 = $960/year

(Please note I am using a basic Google search for these numbers. Please feel free to do your own research.)

So even just with these fairly standard expenses now a single person living alone has roughly $10,000 dollars to spread out among an entire year or $800 per month for gasoline, food, and incidentals. (If you spend $20 a day on food that's $600 a month. And since many young people have no idea how to cook- guess where their money goes.) Now imagine that you rent a 500 square foot apartment you live in but cannot afford to put furniture in. At a certain age it is no longer cute to own an inflatable couch.

Please note I have not included any money being paid in to a retirement account. They simply do not have the money to do it. You may have seen stories about how little young people have in savings- well this is it. A lot of them simply cannot afford even to live in a studio apartment alone. I used to be in this place. I remember that once I let a package of pork chops spoil in my refrigerator. I was so upset that I cried.

Can you imagine how many millions of people just like me are in that position? How many of them are angry about it? I never had a doubt that Donald Trump would win the 2016 election and this is why. Yes, even after that video. If I'd had money I would have driven to Nevada and put money on him. Trump represented change. Badly needed change.

So what do they do? They get a roommate/shack up with their significant other, they stay home, or they go in to debt to eek out a life living alone. One wonders how many people stay in toxic relationships because they cannot afford to leave.

This isn't some argument for a 'living wage'. This is simply a description of how difficult it is for the new generation to make it on their own.

So what are some things young people can do to offset this?

Here is one question I hope to tackle with this blog. I have no interest in mining crypto currency. I think it is definitely an option to offset someone's monthly expenses but at the current time I won't be doing that. I am looking at things that allow someone to improve a skill. What I will be doing is trying different crafts/trades and 'side hustle' types of jobs.

Things I intend to look in to:

Photography

Soap Making

Candle Making

Blogging/Writing

Wood Working

Leather working

I will also be covering cooking, lifestyle stuff, being a dog owner and basically anything else I can think of which is worth talking about.
